Schwartz developed the Internal Family Systems Model of therapy and
has written a number of books on the subject.
In the discussion Dr. Schwartz discusses how the complex PTSD
symptoms of Narcissism, and Borderline personalities present and
how if the people are willing to do the parts work of this model
can begin to see the world differently and move forward in their
lives. He also talks about the codependent nature of the
partnerships with these people and how the dance can create the
high levels of conflict we see in high conflict custody case. This
